One of the major keys to getting good sleep at night ... is having a healthy sex life ! One of the reasons many people do not enjoy healthy sex lives is because of diet that effects their libido. * * You want to fuck well .. you need to eat well ! Low libido is directly linked to high stress levels, tiredness and underlying health problems ( many can be corrected with proper diet changes ) . Drinking beetroot juice can help increase your sex drive ! * * Beetroot juice is thought to increase your libido because it it contains high levels of the mineral boron, which boosts the production of sexual hormones. The vegetable helps the body to metabolise and use oestrogen for women and increases testosterone levels in men .... and so does massaging your testicles btw ! * * A healthy sex life not only helps the quality of your sleep, it reduces your stress, makes your household a happier place to live in and it boosts your immune system ! Your welcome !!! @thepleasurestudio

How we feel about our bodies is a complex issue. From the time we are very young we are bombarded with images from the media and cultural ideas about what makes a body beautiful. Maintaining a healthy body image can be hard, but it’s key for overall health and sexual health. A 2010 study from @utaustintx Department of Psychology, published in the @journalofsexualmedicine, took a look at the link between sexual satisfaction and body image. They found those who had high esteem for one’s body and didn’t worry about their appearance during sex had greater sexual satisfaction. Body image is a factor that needs to be considered when dealing with low sexual satisfaction. If you have issues with body image and sexual satisfaction, speak to your healthcare provider about ways to resolve this!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #positivebodyimage #highselfesteem #bodyimage #selfesteem #sexualhealth #womenssexualhealth #sexualhealthmatters

Hormone Treatment ✨ As we are becoming more aware of the fact that hormones may have a significant impact on women’s libidos, testosterone has begun to play a more important role in evaluation and treatment. For years research has supported the fact that testosterone replacement therapy in men significantly impacts libido, bone density, energy levels and mood. So practitioners experimented with small amounts of testosterone replacement in women and began to see significant and sometimes dramatic outcomes. Those of us in the field can tell you from our practical experience with thousands of patients with low libido: testosterone can and does work to raise a woman’s desire and interest in sex.

#Repost with @Repostlyapp @pattybrisbenfdn Even though its 2019 and you’d think we would all be on the same page by now, there are still a lot of misconceptions floating around about vulvovaginal health. So, let’s set the record straight: Douching is not good for you, don’t try “home remedies” you find online (like putting garlic in your vagina (ouch emoji)), the vagina is self-cleaning (so nothing needs to go up there), and always consult your physician about any issues you are experiencing!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #vulvovaginalhealth #vaginalhealth #vulvarhealth #womenshealth #sexualhealth #womenssexualhealth #sexualhealthmatters #sexualhealthisnotadirtyword #IreneThePassionQueen #keitmopod #jdktour2019

We all know that the way sex is presented in Hollywood movies is often unrealistic – women seem to always have on beautiful lingerie (even if the encounter is unexpected), their hair and make-up look flawless throughout, and they orgasm perfectly in sync with their partner. These performances are harmful because they create unrealistic expectations. In real life sex is more complicated and varied than what is typically portrayed. In a recent piece for @healthline, Jess O’Reilly, host of @sexwithdrjess podcast, says she would like to see “sex scenes that include varied depictions in terms of body types, abilities, skin color, gender identity, sexual orientation, sex acts, clarification of boundaries, expressions of specific desires, the use of lube, and conversation about what people want to do sexually.” Check out the whole article on @healthline’s website!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #representationmatters #unrealisticexpections #sexualhealthmatters #genderidentity #sexualorientation #boundaries #desire #sexualhealth #womenssexualhealth

A recent article by @healthline, cites that half of new cervical cancer cases are occurring in women who have never or rarely been tested. We have the tools to prevent cervical cancer – Pap tests, HPV tests, and the HPV vaccine – and we need to make sure we are using them. Encourage your friends and family members to get routine testing done, and not just your female friends and family, men need routine HPV testing as well and can also get the vaccine. You know it’s funny, being one of the hosts of this podcast and finding myself having conversations that I’ve never really had elsewhere...being recorded and listened to by a couple hundred friends and strangers. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I grew up *never* talking about sex, and throughout my 11+ years of marriage have had so many discussions on sexuality, but rarely about actual sex with anyone besides my husband. I take that back, I talked about sex all.the.time with birth clients, but that was *their* sex lives, not mine. 💃 Starting midwifery school years ago, and having friends like my amazing co-host Tiffany helped open me up in new ways where I realized the power of honest, real conversations that not only benefited me and my understanding of my sexuality, but my relationship with my husband...AND my relationships with girlfriends as we got vulnerable and discussed these very real aspects of who we are and who we were created to be. 👯‍♀️ I guess really what I’m getting at is this: the power of connection. Connection with other women, connection with my husband, connection with myself. In this particular way, our fun podcast has opened me up to feel infinitely more comfortable talking about topics that I, for years, would avoid or just smile and nod through. I can speak candidly, educate and be educated, and laugh along the way- yes with Tiffany, but really with ALL of you! That’s a gift to me, and we hope it’s a gift you are seeing in your lives as well! 😘 Do you resonate with this shift I’ve experienced in my life over the last few years? Or are you still “stuck” feeling uncomfortable about it all? Or have you always been comfortable talking about aspects of your own sexuality? No matter what, there is all kinds of room for you here. 🥰 ❤️, Kelly
