Czas na kolejny #instawtorek - dziś tematem jest self-care, czyli osiędbanie 💚 Temat Bardzo Ważny, a tak często kompletnie zaniedbywany... Często mamy w głowach uproszczony obraz dbania o siebie: wanna, piana, świeczki albo herbata, koc, książka. Oczywiście, to też self-care, ale czasem to nie wystarcza. Dla mnie osiędbanie to: 🔸Słuchanie swoich potrzeb - często nawet danie sobie prawa do posiadania potrzeb. 🔸Psychoterapia. 🔸Dbanie o siebie w pierwszej kolejności, nie dopiero po tym, jak się już zrobi wszystko dla rodziny, szefa oraz krewnych i znajomych królika. 🔸Czas na odpoczynek - takie prawdziwe nicnierobienie, bez wyrzutów sumienia i myśli "jakie to nierozwojowe", nawet jeśli leżę i gapię się w sufit. 🔸Wycofanie się z sytuacji, w której czujemy się niekomfortowo, nawet jeśli wydaje się to nieuzasadnione. 🔸Zerwanie toksycznych relacji. 🔸Wyrzucanie z siebie emocji, szczególnie złości - polecam worek bokserski, ale wrzeszczenie jak banshee też porządnie oczyszcza 💚 🔸Dbanie o zdrowie fizyczne - zdrowa dieta, aktywność, regularne badania, picie odpowiedniej ilości wody, suplementowanie witamin i minerałów przy niedoborach (suplementacja witaminy D powinna być obowiązkowa w naszym klimacie!) 🔸Wysypianie się! 🔸Medytacja lub inny mindfullness. 🔸Pisanie dziennika 💚 i realizacja moich kreatywnych pasji. 🔸Dbanie o urodę - lepiej się czuję, gdy mam zadbaną skórę, więc przykładam się do porannej i wieczornej pielęgnacji. Lubię też szczotkowanie ciała na sucho, które nie dość, że poprawia ukrwienie, relaksuje mięśnie i złuszcza naskórek, to jeszcze najzwyczajniej jest przyjemne 💚 🔸Rozpieszczanie się - czy to ładny przedmiot, sukienka, o której marzyłam, pachnąca świeczka, czy nawet ta gorąca kąpiel z pianą. I think it’s important to keep an open mind, stay curious, and always ask questions. Which is why when I meet new people, I genuinely try to get to know them. Don't reinvent the wheel, but instead choose to elevate an already existing part of your daily routine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ STILL NEED MORE GUIDANCE? HERE ARE 4 FREE MOMENTS OF SELF CARE YOU CAN IMPLEMENT RIGHT NOW. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Take a walk. Really, it can be as simple as this. It’s up to you whether you flip on a podcast, an audio book, some favourite tunes, or if you challenge yourself to not engage with your phone at all. 2. Take a shower or bath by candlelight. 3. Turn off your phone. Or at least hide it in another room for a set period of time. 4. Socialise. Sometime’s I become a bit like a broken record but it really can’t be stressed enough – IRL human interaction is a must for happiness. And any woman can tell you that a quality chat with a great friend is soul-soothing in too many ways to count. When it comes to witnessing transformations, I'm very privileged to be in a position to witness many through work but the transformstion I know best and taught me the most, was one of my own... • • The first picture, is me on my 23rd birthday. • 5 months before I had recieved a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. It came after a two year battle of tests, dead ends, desperation and being told it was all in my head. 😣 • • You can see me smiling and opening my birthday presents. • What you can't see is I had to have help with the wrapping paper. I just couldn't tear it- I didnt have the strength. • You don't see me resting after because of the energy it took to sit up, to smile, to speak and use my arms. • You can't see my sadness at not being able to see my family that day for the first birthday ever because I was too tired and too weak to do the stairs of the second story flat I lived in at the time. • And you can't see my relief at managing to take the 15 steps to the living room so I could lay on the sofa and not in bed. Yay for change of scenery. (I also walked, not crawled it that day!🎉)• I was only awake for 4 or 5 hours total but that was a 'good day'. • • The next picture is me now. I hope it says it all? ☺️ • • One of the biggest lessons having Fibromyalgia has taught me, is about self-care. • The importance of it, all the aspects involved, and it gives me lots and lots (and lots) of practice! • • Self-care is important to everyone single one of us. • ❌ Bad self-care = human survives.• ✅ Good self-care= human THRIVES! • • This month, I'm sharing the categories I have devised for my own self-care over the last 8 years, giving some tips that go 'beyond the bubble bath' 🛀 and I'll share a tool I use with my students for you to download that really does put it into visual context. Keep it simple.  I'm now a mum that makes packed lunches. I didn't want to be that mum. I was happy to pay for school dinners.  But Meg put forward a very valid argument and I'm a sucker for that. She couldn't sit next to her packed-lunch-friends, so we agreed on a compromise. Packed lunches on 3 days a week. And they're going to be pretty much the same every time. I ain't no "cutting cute sandwich shapes" kind of mum. I don't have the headspace to think of fancy things, so this is pretty much it. Everyone's happy. . Other things we're keeping super simple right now: 👍crafts consist of glue dots, pom poms and nature items we've hoarded 👍we don't do fancy hairstyles. It's ponytails or nothing. I've tried to teach myself and decided that I currently don't have the headspace, patience, or time for pretty braids. 👍the meals on our dinner rota are very quick and very few. 👍bathtime only happens a few times a week, not every day. . How can you keep things more simple to free up some time and headspace for other things?
