Head to my website MikeReinold.com, link in bio. - Losing knee extension range of motion is common with knee injuries, especially after surgeries. I often perform low load, long duration stretching to restore knee extension. . One of the most popular ways to do this is with the prone hang exercise (bottom image). I’ve always disliked this position, as it is way more uncomfortable for the patient. They end up squirming around and compensating at their pelvis, taking away the benefit of the drill. . Instead, simple perform this LLLD stretch supine. Prop the heel up with an ankle weight or even a towel roll, and drape an ankle weight over the distal thigh, right above the knee. WHO SUFFERS FROM ROUNDED SHOULDERS AND [email protected]**Y POSTURE!? 🙊🙈 . . We’re all guilty of finding ourselves slouched over now and again. Banded Y raise (videoed here) is an exercise I try to do weekly to help with rounded shoulders/posture! It’s simple, you can do it anywhere, and requires very minimal equipment!! . . TIPS👉🏽 keep your core tight (I know as always), slight bend in the knee (never want to lock out your knees), butt squeezed to protect your low back, and, make sure your engaging your mid back!! You want to really focus on pulling those shoulders back and engaging your mid back! . . ALSO...remember consistency is KEY! FOR ANYTHING! If you really want to see results try doing this exercise multiple times a week; as a warm up, cool down, or just mixed into your workout! . . Hope this helps!! Happy Tuesday!!! 🖤❣️
