It’s one of the most common incorrectly performed exercises I see - so hopefully this tutorial helps. ☺️ The glute kickback is not an exercise I do often as I don’t believe it is the best way to grow or strengthen the glutes simply because you can’t lift enough weight to cause the most amount of muscle fibre recruitment possible. When you use heavy weights for the kickback it ends up putting pressure on the lower back therefore I think it’s definitely a bonus exercise you can add into your glute day (providing you have good technique) but don’t expect much glute growth if it’s the only exercise you’re relying on “to grow your butt”. In my opinion nothing beats hip thrusts, lunges, deadlifts, squats, step ups, bridges, & split squats etc. for glute building & strengthening!! 🍑👊🏼 . . #glutekickback #kickback #glutebuilding #buildyourglutes #exercisetutorial #emilyskye #glutekickbacktutorial

I hope everyone had a fantastic day :) I had a busy day of filming content and by the end of it I was wrecked. I'm going to be up super early in the morning again to get a heap more done. I really love what I do for a living! For a long time I wasn't living a life I enjoyed - far from it actually. At some point I believe we have to take contriol - I mean REALLY take control and CREATE a life we enjoy. BEST GLUTE EXERCISES 🍑 GIRLS 🆘 you do not need to be doing all these random exercises to lift your bum, grow your glutes and create shape 💪🏻 . You need progressive overload which means you are progressively overloading your muscle, breaking down muscle fibres so it grows stronger 💪🏻🙌🏻🥳 . These are SIMPLE exercises you should be incorporating each week and working on getting stronger, you don’t need to be changing your routine each week, keep your programme the same for 4-12 weeks (depending on boredom lol) and write down what weights you are using 💪🏻 . ✅ Hip thrusts ✅ Stiff leg deadlifts or RDLs ✅ Cable kickbacks (better for Glute activation prior to going heavy on other exercises) ✅ Lunges (any style, I prefer walking they target my glutes more but you may be different) ✅ Glute bridges feet elevated ✅ Single leg squats Squats won’t necessarily work for you because they are more of a quad dominant exercise, some people do feel it more in their glutes but most don’t. . The mistakes we made is not heaving a soft-heart. The mistake is forgetting to love ourselves first. To put our needs apart, because of the love we have for the others. I have learn the power of healthy boundaries. I know my flow, and I know how I can function better if I have them. My mistakes is that when the other does not understand or recognise them, I lower them. An emphatic (with all the imperfections), tend to understand the other person feelings, experiences and needs. The mistake is compromise the own ones, to make the other person happier or to feel less pain. If you know that you need boundaries, you should stand for. If you need more time and your way to process things, you should stand for. No let anyone feel your are weak or you are not learning because you need more time to deal with your emotions. More love you give, more time to heal you need. Take care of yourself for once, firstly. Feel what you need to feel. Noone pretend to be always loving and caring, because you have a heart too. And you should start to use it to love yourself first.
