The Red Pond: a Native American Myth of a Pond in Seneca Nation (1 hr from my house) where the Tribal Princess was in love with a man of an enemy Tribe. To escape the wrath of both Tribes, they waded into the river and sunk to the bottom 85+ meters below, never to be seen again. It’s called the Red River because it looks like Blood from afar, but up close it’s Charcoal colored water! #creepy
