On my last day in Cape Town, my friend @ruanviv took me on a hike up (not so) Little Lion’s Head mountain. If you thought I was crazy - his favourite pastime is flying through the sky in a wingsuit. Now who’s tame one! His other talent is videography and a hobby of ours is to climb mountains and make awesome photos/videos. Thanks to him I have seen more, learnt more and lived more than I ever have. Considering there are billions of people in this world, it’s not that often that you find someone as wonderfully crazy as you. Thanks for the video Rui and for helping to terrify my Mum on regular occasions :) #sorryMum #hemademedoit

When I was younger I was so afraid of heights that just by looking over the edge of a cliff would cause me to have a panic attack. At 17 I started aerial silks to challenge my fear and step outside my comfort zone. Now I handstand over the edge of my comfort zone. I never got over my fear of heights, I just changed the way I looked at it - it’s not scary, it’s exciting. Personally I think it’s more dangerous to live in fear then to challenge it. These kind of moments are when I feel most alive! #sorrymum

I decided that this year I would take a whole month out and not chase work or focus on cash. I truly love what I do but after 4 months of straight shows my body needed a rest. It cost me some money, but in return I was paid in memories. I woke up every day happier than the last, I got to spend time with people I love and see places I’ve been dreaming of. People say that travelling is expensive, but is it not more expensive to go through life working so hard that you don’t get to make these memories? I know that later in life I’ll be grateful for doing this! Thank you Cape Town, for reminding me that happiness is invaluable #MemoriesOverMoney | 📸: @markwolhuter Costume💜: @sirenpolewear

Isn’t it funny that as children we are so scared to be different and desperate to fit in. Yet as we grow older we realise that being different is actually our superpower, and that the greatest things happen to those that aren’t afraid to stand out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📸: @markwolhuter

Only a year and a half ago I met @sirenpolewear and knew instantly that I wanted this girl in my life. From our dressing room banter, photoshoot giggles and then walking alongside you down the aisle, I share with you more precious memories than time could tell. I’m so grateful to have met you under that crazy spiegeltent and that you and @ryan_botha have allowed me to be a part of your special day. Cape Town is my favourite place in the world and you guys (plus @jennyleroux ) are are huge part of that. I love you guys!

Today I had some rare time to myself so I decided to spend it looking for my favourite spot in this entire world. It’s a lookout point hidden amongst the botanical forest in Cape Town, so hidden that there is no one ever there. After almost two years of trying to find it again, I finally spotted it! Totally peaceful and overlooking the mountains, I decided to sit there and watch another epic African sun set. All by myself, happier than words can describe. Alone time is so important for your mind and soul! Never let a busy life take these moments away 💙

Today is my Bowday! - Exactly 4 years to this day I bought my bow and began the greatest journey in my career so far. To celebrate I decided to write 4 lessons I’ve learnt from the last 4 years of Foot Archery: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. No matter how unusual, how crazy an idea might be - if you want something enough and are prepared to go for it, you don’t need anyone else to believe in you but yourself. 2. Cherish the early days. The struggles often become the best part of your story. 3. The biggest reward in what you do will not come from what you receive but what you give to others. 4. If you enjoy every part of the journey then success is something you can experience every day, not just when you’ve reached your goal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you to everyone that’s followed me and helped me live my dream over the last 4 years! I look forward to many more lessons. 📸: @markwolhuter , Costume: @sirenpolewear 💜
