"It’s been exactly one year since I posted my #barewithus🐘 and I couldn’t help but share the #dedifference over that one year! @drunkelephant has saved my skin, time and time again, whether it was severe contact dermatitis, a hormonal breakout (which I spot treat with #Framboos and/or #Babyfacial ) or testing new makeup (resulting in hives), I can always rely on DE to clear up any breakout or allergic reaction! I even used #VirginMarulaOil on my 2 tattoos I got this year, and it healed them perfectly 😍 I love that I can mix and match exactly what I need for my skin’s needs! The first photo is me today! It’s 1 year and almost 2 months in total, of using DE. The second photo was taken almost 2 months after using DE, and the third photo was taken right when I now started DE! Yep, the results speak for themselves! (No makeup or filter in any photo) In my #barewithus🐘 one year ago, I said that “I know my skin will only continue to get better, especially when they launch their retinol 😍” Well so said, so done... #APassioni is an outstanding product, paired with the other products, I’ve definitely seen the results that I anticipated! My fave morning routine (after washing with water only) is a little less than 1/2 pump #CTango on my eyes, then 1 pump #CFirma , 1 pump #BHydra and 2 drops #VirginaMarulaOil on my face, topped off with a little less than 1/4 tsp #UmbraSheer mixed with half pump #DBronzi ✨ And Lippe on my lips, always! At night, I cleanse with #Beste (if I have makeup on, I cleanse with #Slaai, then follow with Beste). Then I follow with half pump #CTango and half pump #Shaba on my eyes, 1 pump #Framboos, a pea size #APassioni , 1 pump #BHydra and 2 drops #VirginMarulaOil 😍 on my face. And of course Lippe on my lips!" Thanks for sharing your #barewithus🐘 story, @aliciatdeen. Tag us #barewithus🐘 in your selfie with your full DE routine—we'll be gifting our favorites DE goodies!

Welcome to #socialsunday🐘 (Got a Q for our founder, Tiffany Masterson? Drop them in the comments and she’ll try to respond!) Q: Which Drunk Elephant products can I use on my neck? A: All of our moisturizers—Lala, Protini, and Virgin Marula—can be used on the neck anytime, and as often as you like. B-Hydra too! So those are the easy ones. When it comes to actives, though, things get trickier. The neck does not produce oils and other protective substances like the face or chest does, which makes that area potentially more sensitive to ingredients such as vitamin C, glycolic acid, and retinol. If you’ve ever developed a red, itchy, or dry neck area after using retinol or similar actives on the neck, it’s because the neck is less tolerant to such ingredients. When it comes to using C-Firma, A-Passioni, or T.L.C. Framboos on the neck area, it’s a good ideal to adjust the frequency—perhaps every other day, or less often, let your skin be the guide there—and/or experiment with mixing smaller amounts of those actives into a moisturizer like Lala or Protini. tm👀 📸: @theskincareedit_
#CFirma, #Bhydra––aka skin miracle workers. #CFirma (☀️): Use our vitamin C serum every morning on face, neck, chest, back of hands. Follow with #Umbra SPF 30 as a part of your complete AMroutine. #Framboos (🌙): In the evenings, apply to a clean, dry face, neck, chest and backs of hands, avoiding the eye area. Mix with #VirginMarulaOil for 💯 effectiveness. #BHydra (💦): Mix with any of your DE serums morning or evening and apply to any areas where you need a boost of hydration. Welcome to #socialsunday🐘 (Got a Q for our founder, Tiffany Masterson? Drop them in the comments and she’ll try to respond!) ⠀ Q: Which Drunk Elephant products are the best to help improve hyperpigmentation (like melasma)? ⠀ A: Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), glycolic acid, and retinol are among the most well researched and most effective non-prescription ingredients with the ability to improve the look of hyperpigmentation (as well as having many other benefits for skin). ⠀ Both retinol and ascorbic acid work by disrupting the enzymatic process of excess melanin production in skin, making it harder and harder for skin to “feed” those areas of hyperpigmentation with extra melanin. Glycolic acid works by gradually exfoliating the areas of hyperpigmentation. ⠀ Ideally, a combinations of these actives is best in treating a condition as stubborn as hyperpigmentation, so I encourage people to experiment with blends, like ascorbic acid or glycolic acid + retinol. That would be #CFirma, T.L.C. #Framboos and #APassioni. However, the important consideration is skin tolerance—whenever you're combining powerful actives like these, proceed slowly and watch how your skin responds. And always follow the directions closely. ⠀ Also, when treating hyperpigmentation related to sun damage, it’s important to be patient with treatment: it took years (sometimes decades) for UV exposure to accumulate and form brown spots or uneven areas. So it can take some time for results to develop. ⠀ One last thing: The goal in treating hyperpigmentation is to reduce the overproduction of melanin in those areas of skin, and unprotected sun damage is the most common cause of hyperpigmentation. So the number one thing you can do to stop hyperpigmentation from getting worse, as well as speed improvement, is to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen every single day, without exception. Skipping a day can reverse months of treatment! tm⭐️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷: @lucyalicelook
